The following NEW guidelines and procedures have been developed to expedite services for training
participants and streamline the registration process. CCR&R staff will strictly enforce all guidelines and
procedures. Please register early. Unless otherwise stated, there is no fee to attend the training session.
Registration is on a “first-come, first-served” basis as they are received by telephone at 803-773-7935 or
1-800-681-0333. All training calendars are sent out at the same time. CCR&R is not responsible for late
mail deliveries!

Child Care Training
  • Registration will be accepted by telephone. However, individuals may call and only register
    themselves for training sessions.  
We will not accept calls from individuals wanting to register other people for training sessions. You will be
required to provide your last four digits of your social security number at the time of registration (which will be
used to match the official training rosters that are signed at each training). You must also provide your
program’s name, a valid address, phone number, and if possible an email address at the time of registration.
Each training session has an opening date/time that we will begin accepting registration calls. Each call must
be made separately (no passing the phone around to multiple staff to register with one phone call). No calls
will be accepted before the opening date/time, but registration calls will be accepted after the posted
registration opening date. Registrations will not be accepted via answering machine messages. Once classes
are full, individuals will be encouraged to put their names on a waiting list. If we have enough people on a
waiting list for a session, we will make every effort to schedule another session for those people.

  • Session Reminders
If you have provided an email address, we will send you a reminder email at least 48 hours in advance of
your training session. If you do not provide an email address, you will not receive a reminder notice.
Reminder phone calls will NOT be made and you will be responsible for a No Show Fee if you do not attend
the session and have not cancelled appropriately.

  • Cancellations
If a participant needs to cancel a registration, the participant must contact United Way Success By 6 CCR&R
no later than 48 hours before the scheduled training date.

  • No Show Fee
If a participant does not cancel a workshop at least 48 hours prior to the workshop and does not attend the
scheduled session, a $20.00 No Show Fee will be assessed. This No Show Fee must be paid before the
participant will be allowed to participate in any future classes, whether they are already enrolled or not. No
Show Fees will be carried over year to year.

  • No Children Allowed!! No Walk-Ins Allowed
Unregistered people will not be allowed to participate in training sessions. If we do not have your name on
our registration list, you will not be allowed to attend!! **Also please note: No one will be allowed to enter the
class 15 minutes after the workshop has begun and if you leave the session early you will not receive credit.

  • Session Changes
Due to budget considerations, most classes must have a minimum of 10 or more people registered in order
to be held. Classes with fewer than 10 people registered, may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling. In
the event of a trainer’s illness or emergency if a session must be cancelled, every effort will be made to
reschedule the training at a later date.
