Come prepared to learn appropriate daily routines that can be used in childcare that will offer the
children a sense of consistency and security, yet remain flexible and responsive to the individual
needs of each child. This training session will provide providers with some transitions to make a day at
child care seem smooth and well-organized.

2.5 Hrs. Program Administration
What is expected of me as a teacher in a child care program? Who is Licensing and what are they
looking for? Who is ABC and what are they looking for? How many DSS hours do I need to get and in
what topics? What are child ratios? Many child care providers are placed into classrooms with the
basics of hours and daycare policies but have no idea what DSS Regulations are or what the agencies
coming in are expecting to see and hear. Come prepared to have fun while getting the answers to all
of these questions and many more.

2.5 Hrs Program Administration
This interactive session will provide participants with samples of parent and provider policies and
handbooks as well as give you the ideas you need to create one that will fit to your center’s needs.
