Let’s Talk about how to have open, honest, and accurate discussions about love, sex, and healthy relationships with your teen. It's often a challenge to get teens to open up and talk about things going on in their lives. Yet, being connected to a caring adult is important for their overall development.

When you talk to your kids about sex, early and often, they are much more likely to delay sex and to use contraception when they do become sexually active.

Learn more tips on starting and continuing the conversation at one of our free, virtual Let's Talk Parties throughout the month of October hosted by the United Way Diamonds Youth Development Program

Who should attend: Parents, grandparents, foster parents, guardians, teachers, guidance counselors, youth group leaders, or anyone who has an interest in the well-being of the teen(s) in their life.
 

When: October 6, 15, 19, or 29 from 6 pm to 7 pm
 

Where: From your home. A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent with your registration confirmation.

Attendees will be entered into a drawing for a gift.*

​

*Drawing rules: You must attend the full hour-long workshop. Names of attendees will be entered in the drawing at the conclusion of each workshop. Drawings will be held within a week of each workshop. Winners will be contacted by the United Way of Sumter, Clarendon, and Lee Counties via email, text, or telephone call.
